KENNEDY SPACE CENTER MAXIMUM ACCESS TICKET

You don't have to be an astronaut to explore space. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex provides an exhilarating and educational experience of the space program.
From NASA's earliest manned missions to the crews of today's Space Shuttle, scores of Astronaut heroes have lived, trained and left their mark here at Kennedy Space Center. Now it's your turn to explore. Nowhere else can you see, touch and hear more about the workings of America's space program -- or get so close to the amazing machines that launched a nation into space and kept it there for more than 40 years.

NASA's John F. Kennedy Space Center is America's premier gateway to the universe. As the world's only launch site for the Space Shuttle, Kennedy prepares the vehicles for each mission, operates each countdown and manages end-of-mission landing recovery activities. The Center also coordinates all expendable vehicle launches carrying a NASA payload, whether the launches take place at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, or elsewhere. Finally, as the last Earthly stop for International Space Station hardware, Kennedy prepares these elements for their missions in space.

Where else in the world do history and the future, nature and technology, young and old meet for an unforgettable and inspirational journey through space and time? The Kennedy Space Center has hosted millions of guests from around the world for more than 30 years. Fewer than 500 men and women – of the Earth’s six billion people – have ever flown in space. But each day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, guests get the rare opportunity to meet a real-life member of NASA’s Astronaut Corps. The daily briefings allow plenty of time for guest interaction. So bring your questions – and your camera.

This Maximum Access admission ticket includes all of the attractions at Kennedy Space Center.
During the NASA Restricted Area bus tour, you will visit the
The Saturn V Exhibition and the Observation Gantry where you can also take pictures of the shuttle launch pads 25a and 25b.
With a little luck, you might even see a space shuttle there!  After the bus tour, sit back and enjoy an 2 IMAX movie's back at the visitor center or stroll through a real-size space shuttle, look at a moon rock and have "space" ice cream.

Your journey into mankind's greatest adventure start's at the Visitor Complex, where amazing exhibits and inspiring shows will immerse you into the past, present and future of the space program.

Scattered throughout the facility are interactive displays, such as a Shuttle landing simulation, rare memorabilia detailing how America became fascinated with handful of men who were the pioneers of space flight, and the unique perspectives of space flight told by the Astronauts themselves.

NEW SHUTTLE LAUNCH EXPERIENCE

The journey begins as visitors enter the Shuttle Launch Simulation Facility, architecturally consistent with Space Shuttle facilities at Kennedy Space Center. Visitors ascend along the gantry as astronaut testimonials set the stage for what is to come. Entering the heart of Space Shuttle operations for the pre-launch briefing, crew members are guided by veteran Space Shuttle Commander Charlie Bolden as he takes them step-by-step through the launch sequence. They then enter the crew cabin in the Space Shuttle’s payload bay and strap in for launch. For the next five minutes, the cabin’s 44 passengers see, feel and live the powerful journey to 17,500 mph. Achieving orbit, the payload bay doors open to reveal a breathtaking view of Earth seldom seen in the first person.

Shuttle Launch Experience combines the detailed accounts of astronaut experiences with the expertise of
premiere design engineers to produce an experience unique to attractions around the world. The technical
highlights include an all-to-real simulation of the space shuttle’s eight and a half minute ascent into orbit,
custom-designed crew cabins with unprecedented vertical range, high-definition audiovisual effects, and
advanced seating effects to maximize the reality of the experience.
